The National Wildlife Federation partnered with the Open Space Institute (OSI) and the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA) to organize a forum on State Wildlife Action Plans for thirty outdoor writers in the northeast. New studies on northern New England's wildlife resources and conservation needs have been completed, including the long-range Wildlife Action Plans detailing actions to conserve game and non-game wildlife species. Yet, these stories go unreported in the media. Thirty renowned outdoor writers attended this 3-day event to learn what the real story is and the relationship of the recently completed action plans to traditional sporting interests.
