Fact Sheets on Best Outreach Practices
- The North Carolina Wildlife Federation (NCWF) has created a network of over 500 volunteers who are helping the state wildlife agency survey and monitor important wildlife habitats. NCWF has also hosted several very successful field trips for the media to visit habitats that have been restored using State Wildlife Grants funding. Click here for an overview.
- The Wisconsin Wildlife Federation has held 5 successful Wildlife Summits across the state to raise awareness about the State Wildlife Action Plan while recruiting new Teaming with Wildlife Coalition parners. Click here for a fact sheet on how they did it.
- The Environmental League of Massachusetts, NWF's state affiliate, has been working closely with the Massachusetts Association of Land Trusts to get land trusts involved in carrying out the land protection work detailed in the State Wildlife Action Plan. - The Montana Wildlife Federation, together with the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks and the Teddy Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, have concentrated their outreach on hunter and angler groups.
